In this game we all play which is calledl life, essentially there are two players.  Life and yourself.  In poker, when it comes to two players that are at about the same skill level from my experience it seems that the person who has that little extra edge, well luck in this case, on their side usually wins.  I've considered myself unlucky for a long time but when I look back on my life, I'd have to admit that I have come up on top more so then on the bottom.  Its just that these days I feel that luck is more on my opponents side then mine.  So we get dealt a hand and we try to make the best of it.  We try to see how we stack against our opponent to try and get a read.  Sometimes life is as cool as ice, so you gotta gamble to make moves, to essentially come out on top.  But other times we know from previous experience what life is like so we can make a better assessment as to whether it's worth going all in.   So far I feel that I have been dealt  pocket Jacks, pocket Queens and pocket Kings.  All great starting hands but we all know that your two hole cards are only as good as the flop.  I've done the best with the cards that I have been dealt but I'm still waiting on those elusive pocket Rockets to come again just one more time.  I've been dealt Rockets once and in that hand, I bluffed and lets just say I got caught with my hand in the cookie jar!   The amount that I invested fails in comparison to the amount that I lost.  But like any true player of the game, we brush it off and look forward to the next hand and hopefully its a hand worth going all in.  Because in this game, of course we want to maximize our profits and minimize our loses but the real question is: was the juice worth the squeeze?

My mind warps and bends floats the wind count to ten
meet the twin EsCoVhaR ZeN. welcome to the lion's den
original skin many men comprehend
I extend myself so you go out & tell a friend
Sin all depends on what you believing in
Faith is what you make it that's the hardest shit since like TupAc Man!
Alien can blend right on in wit' yo' kin
look again 'cause I swear I spot one every now & then
It's happenin' again wish I could tell you when

So its recently come to my attention from a person whom I considered my "brother" that some people according to him just don't respect me as a person.  Tell you the truth it's a little disturbing especially when we have the same circle of friends but I didn't really get that pist like how I would use to get.  I just want those people to stop associating with me so I basically can get away from these "two-face" people who just front.  On a side note I found it hilarious he would say that about me because he is quite frankly not the one to speak.  Talking to my ex, preaching all this bullshit about how its fucked up that ppl talk to your friends ex's when their your friends, being grimey when it comes to fuckin girls chillin with the crew b/c he thinks they are a bunch of slimebags, always needing to know whats going on and gossiping shiet behind your back(yea motherfucker i know what you said to a certain kappa) and just generally being a fuckin dirtbag in my eyes.  We all have our faults and I admit to mine but I let shiet slide so many times.  But this time, shiet is gonna be set right, oh for damn sure.  Anyways like they say, either your with me or your against me.  If your with me, let's try to take this life that's been given to us and live it to the max.  If your against me, back the fuck up or you'll get smacked the fuck up....well actually the next time we cross paths, you'll get beat the fuckin shiet out of so stay clear.

I was flipping through the channels waiting for Entourage when I came across the ESPY awards.  I guess its like EPSN's award show for athletes that achieved various different accomplishments.  The host was Lance Armstrong, you know the cyclist that won like 7 Tour de Frances after having a lot of different forms of cancer, crazy right?  Surprisingly, although he looks like a very serious person he was quite comedic.  Well Janet Jackson was giving an award out for the athlete that performed best I guess when there was a lot riding on their shoulders.  She said something that I found to be really profound: "Pressure.  Good players deal with it, great players ignore it and CHAMPIONS thrive on it."   When I heard it the first time I had to take it in all again and just think about it.  Whoever made up that line is definitely right.  Now substitute the word player for worker, employee or any other word that describes someone that does something.  If life we are all under some form of pressure.  Whether its from our parents, family, siblings or just your own expectation, we all fall under its heavy presence.  Truth be told, I'm more like a crunch time person myself but all for the wrong reasons.  I don't thrive under it, I'm just in that situation because I usually put myself in that position.  But after thinking about it, I would love to become and consider myself a person who thrives under pressure.  Be a CHAMPION in what ever that I try to get done.  So I'm giving this place that I use to work another try.  I'm setting some goals and I'm hoping to achieve or surpass all of them within the given time.  Wish me luck and remember....learn to be a champion and thrive under pressure, not buckle underneath it.

So I'm back from Maryland, it was a pleasant vacation.  Away from the daily grind that is New York.  The room we stayed in was pretty nice especially because all of us got to stay in one room.  Three bedrooms, 7 beds, 2 bathrooms(well 1 in the master room which was inaccessible for much of the time, hahahaha), nice kitchen and a nice living room to just chill in.  The balcony was huge too plus it had a view of the ocean, well the beach was right outside anwyays, lol.  I must admit, I was under the influence about 90% of the time and quite frankly sometimes I think I woke up drunk!?  On Sunday morning I woke up to my roommate saying..."ugghhhh I think I have a hang over....LETS DRINK!" so drinking commenced at a record breaking, 9:30AM!  We left for the beach around noon-ish and by then I had downed 2 coronoa's and about 3 gin and tonics!  The beach is definitely fun when your smashed! *High Five* Pat for the morning drinking.  If your heading to Maryland here is some friendly advice, bring proper ID.  Don't even think about using a fake one or someone else's because Maryland PD will catch you riding dirty!! Oh for damn sure!!  Also, I never heard of this rule but if your over 21, you can't goto the 18 and over parties.  One of the nights there was a thunderstorm and while I was on the balcony it seemed as if lightening was hitting the ocean offshore.  When I looked out into the ocean, its weird b/c you see all the waves crashing, its chaotic but at the same time it just looks serene.  Oh, I forgot to mention the beaches have like lighting outside during the night, you could see all the ppl playing in the water and lovers just walking down the beach.   I'm not  a fan of crabs but a particular vacationer was just dying for some so we went.  They aren't too bad but there is like nothing to eat on a crab.  Its actually quite gross when you open up those suckers and their brains and guts are just hanging out. LOL.

Anyways, I dedicate these next couple of lyrics which are just genious to a special friend....
Now I aint sayin she a gold digger (When I'm in Need)
But she aint messin wit no broke nigaz(can you feel me ma)
Now I aint sayin she a gold digger (When I'm in Need)
but she aint messin wit no broke nigaz(i gotta leave)

For everyone else I leave you with these profound lines from Outkast:
Even the sun goes down heroes eventually die

Horoscopes often lie and sometimes "Y"
Nothing is for sure, nothing is for certain, nothing lastsforever
